Fundraiser for Archangel Gabriel Catholic School

Archangel Gabriel Catholic School will host its annual auction, “Neon Knights,” on Friday, Nov. 13, at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport. The evening will bring the school community together for a night of neon and nostalgia, featuring a live auction, silent auction, chance raffle and additional raffles. Proceeds directly support the school and its students, who range from preschool through eighth grade. Community members and businesses can support the event through donations of goods, services or monetary gifts. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, ranging from $500 to $10,000 with benefits including event recognition, company name and logo placement, VIP tickets and sponsorship of specific auction activities. Donations of any size are appreciated and will be recognized on the auction website and event display. Donations must be received by Oct. 28. Food Donations Needed at Bread of Life Food Pantry in Etna

Area food pantries are already announcing critical shortages—even before the holiday season begins. Just today, Bread of Life Food Pantry in Etna shared an urgent request for donations. Their greatest needs include baby food, canned soup, coffee/tea, personal-care items, Halloween treats, stuffing, gravy, juice, detergent, canned vegetables and pasta, cereal, condiments, and size 5–6 diapers. Dog and cat food is always needed, too. Did you know more than 21% of Etna residents are food insecure, while 1 in 5 children in Allegheny County face food insecurity? If you can donate, even one item can help.
