Pets are a part of the family, and people frequently want to bring them everywhere they go. Depending on where you plan to travel, that area might not be pet friendly, the hotels may not allow certain pets and the price can be outrageous. There are hotels in Pittsburgh that make it easy for your pet to join you on a staycation.
TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh Hotel, located in Lawrenceville, PA, is different from your traditional hotel—it is a boutique hotel. The hotel allows pets everywhere, and the location is excellent for taking your pet on excursions. Hannah Judkins, Director of Digital Marketing and Social Media for Century Hospitality, shared her favorite spots to visit with her pet. Walter’s BBQ Southern Kitchen and Salty Paws Pittsburgh are two places that allow pets, but Lawrenceville is filled with pet-friendly spots.
“This area is a popular spot for people. Everybody here has dogs. If you walk on the sidewalk, you’ll see 15 dogs,” said Judkins.
Being located in the Lawrenceville area and having a crazy dog-loving staff is what ultimately drew the hotel to allow pets to stay. Judkins also explained how, overall, this has helped their business.
“I think just knowing everybody here is super into dogs makes people want to stay here again.” said Judkins.
Something unique about TRYP is they have a rooftop with a beautiful view of Pittsburgh. It is a great spot for weddings, especially if you want your pet to be a part of your special day. Judkins explained how they have had multiple weddings with animals at their location.
Part of the charm of staying at TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh Hotel is they charge a flat fee of $25 with zero weight limit and no discrimination against types of dogs. They make it easy for pets to join you on your next trip to the city.
Hotel Monaco is another great option for you and your pets. They allow all kinds of pets, from furry to feathery to scaly.
The hotel welcomes your pet with courtesy bags for walking your dog, dedicated floors for travelers with pets, pet beds and water bowls that can be delivered to your room and custom Hotel Monaco dog treats.
They also have no size or weight limit for your pet, no limit on how many pets you can bring, and no deposit or cleaning fees charged. Hotel Monaco also provides a pet-friendly package for travelers to book. Their goal is to make you and your pet feel pampered.
The Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh has a homelike feel to ensure you and your four-legged friends are comfortable during your stay. The hotel is close to Firstside Park and Three Rivers Heritage Trail. This allows travelers to catch some beautiful Pittsburgh sites and take their furry friends on a walk.
It is a $50 fee for pets to stay at the Joinery. Pets can be at most 50 pounds. Nonetheless, they get a lot of travelers who come and stay with their beloved pets. The Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh wants to make your stay away from home feel like home.
