From Run Down to Renewed Conference
Join local women for the first annual From Run Down to Renewed Conference, taking place Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (doors open at 8 a.m.) at Penn Christian Academy, 199 Airport Rd., Butler, PA 16002. This faith-based gathering is designed to create space for true transformation—not just another event where you listen and leave unchanged. Celebrate Veterans at Northland Library
Celebrate Veterans Day with stories of local heroes at Northland Library on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. The Medal of Honor is the United States’ highest award for military valor in action. Etched within it are the very values that each recipient displayed in the moments that mattered—bravery, courage, sacrifice, and integrity. Jerry Fitzgibbon will share the history of the Medal of Honor and the contributions of its recipients from Western Pennsylvania who fought so valiantly for our country. Marching Foxes Win First Place at PIMBA Championships
The Fox Chapel Area High School Marching Band won first place at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) Championships. The Marching Foxes placed first in Class 2A at the competition, which was held Oct. 18, 2025, at Deer Lakes High School. The theme of this year’s show is From the Ashes. The band is under the student direction of drum majors senior Sophia Nguansiri and junior Nadre Digbohou, and band directors/teachers Daryl Lesnik, Evan Hertrick, Joshua Branker, and Karli Umholtz.

Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber Health & Wellness Fair, Presented by AHN Wexford and Highmark
The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber Health & Wellness Fair, presented by AHN Wexford and Highmark, will take place Thursday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pine Community Center. This free community event is designed to help attendees and their employees discover local resources for healthier, happier lifestyles—both at work and at home. Highlights include a chance to win an Apple Watch SE 3 (courtesy of JIL Solutions and the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber), goodie bags for the first 150 guests (courtesy of AHN Wexford), the Mission Mahi food truck on-site for lunch, a Relaxation Room for moments of calm, and a nonperishable food drive benefiting North Hills Community Outreach.
