Kids Day at Cranberry Community Park

Mascots, music, and magic - oh my! Join us Saturday, July 12 from 2 - 4 pm at Cranberry Community Park for Kid’s Day - a part of CTCC Community Days. Rock out to performances by local kid’s groups from 1 - 3 pm, followed by a visit from local mascots and beloved childhood characters including the Pirate Pierogies, Olaf from Frozen, Sonic the Hedgehog and more! Mascots will roam in front of the Rotary Amphitheater from 2 - 4 pm, alongside incredible balloon artists. But the fun doesn’t end there! As part of their summer vacation, Santa Claus and his friend Buddy the Elf will be cruising around the park from 3 pm - 4 pm, spreading good tidings, cheer and candy cane treats! New Minister at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills

The Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills (UUCNH) will install its new settled minister, the Reverend Lee Anne Washington, J.D., on Sunday, June 1, at 10:30 a.m. at the church located at 2359 West Ingomar Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Rev. Lee Anne brings a deep love of learning, a keen sense of humor, and a passion for interfaith wisdom to her ministry. She believes that church should be an interactive, joy-filled experience, where gratitude, generosity, and other spiritual exercises draw people into deeper connection with themselves, each other, and the sacred.




A Million Dreams – Support Youth Arts!

Pittsburgh Youth Chorus (PYC) is committed to increasing access to the rich experiences, growth, and lifelong benefits offered by participation in choral music. We want every young person in Pittsburgh to have that opportunity and strive to remove barriers—including financial ones. Every year, PYC offers membership to young people from families in need, providing scholarships and financial assistance totaling more than $50,000. To support our Scholarship and Tuition Assistance Fund, we are holding our inaugural fundraising event and would greatly appreciate your help. A Million Dreams will take place on June 18 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will be hosted by renowned opera star Marianne Cornetti and former Pittsburgh Pirate Steven Brault. Please join us for an evening of dinner, cocktails, performances, and an auction! PYC is the premier chorus for young singers in Pittsburgh. Through its choirs for grades 1–12 and wide-ranging artistic collaborations, PYC opens pathways for young people to become part of Pittsburgh’s musical community. Rooted in a tradition of musical excellence, PYC creates experiences that inspire its singers to explore the wider world through song. Led by Executive Artistic Director Lee Saville-Iksic, PYC partners with world-class artists and organizations both within and beyond Pittsburgh, offering once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to collaborate with professional musicians. Recent collaborations include The Little Prince with Resonance Works, Holiday Pops with the Pittsburgh Symphony and Toscawith Pittsburgh Opera.

Cranberry Township Town Square Market Begins

The grand opening of the Cranberry Township Town Square Market begins on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, along the walkways of the Armstrong Great Lawn, with live music by Mike Chutz. The market will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday from June through October. New vendors for the 2025 season include B-Linked Permanent Jewelry, G.G. Biscotti Co., and the Flour Sisters. Returning vendors include 1:11 Juice Bar and Mission Mahi. Limited vendor spaces are still available for the 2025 season.

The festival celebrates the New Year of the planet Mars—an event that occurs every 22 months—with a unique and inspiring celebration for all ages in Mars, PA. The event promotes exploration, education, and innovation focused on the journey, discovery, and colonization of Mars, the Moon, and outer space through interactive exhibits, youth STEAM education, and collaboration with leading space innovators, companies, and organizations worldwide.

The Mattress Factory Garden Party will be held on June 6 from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. This 21+ themed annual fundraiser benefits the artistic, educational, and community outreach programs at the Mattress Factory. When you join us for the Garden Party, you support the Mattress Factory and its artists—championing creatives from Pittsburgh and around the world as they work in-residence on our North Side campus to create remarkable art for our community. This year’s theme is Pink. Join us for a wonderful night of music, performances, art, delicious food and drink, a costume contest, and a silent art auction.

This year’s festival will be the most diverse and exciting yet, featuring not only a stacked lineup of the region’s best breweries but also a wide variety of wine, cider, mead, cocktails, spirits, hard seltzers, and more. Explore the full spectrum of local libations with offerings to suit every taste. There will be something for everyone to enjoy! Stay busy between brews with an incredible lineup of live local music, craft vendors, and some of Pittsburgh’s favorite food trucks.



Freedom Farms Berry Festival

The Freedom Farms Berry Festival & Craft Show is one of our favorite events of the year—and it’s back for its fifth year in 2025! Join the farm on Saturday and Sunday, June 21–22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival features tractor rides, a petting zoo, over 50 craft vendors spread across the farm, a beer and wine garden, berry-flavored everything, activities for the kids, and much more. In addition, there will be a full open-air market for shopping, food concessions from Freedom Farms, face painting, and plenty more!
