UNITED IN SWEAT(ers): Pittsburgh Fitness Studios Join the Mister Rogers' Sweater Drive
Pittsburgh fitness studios across the region are teaming up for UNITED IN SWEAT(ers)—a citywide effort supporting the 26th annual Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive through the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. Running through Dec. 18, the drive honors World Kindness Day by collecting new and gently used sweaters for neighbors in need, continuing a tradition that has already provided more than 50,000 sweaters across Western Pennsylvania. What began in 2021 as a single collection bin at YogaSix South Hills has since grown into a full network of north- and south-of-the-river fitness partners. Sweaters can be dropped off at 10 participating fitness locations throughout the North Hills and South Hills, including The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, The Block Northway, Pine Tree Shoppes, and Wexford Plaza. “Bringing the community together to move, give, and share kindness is what this effort is all about,” said Jarrid Danburg of YogaSix South Hills and YogaSix Wexford.
