Celebrate Independence Day with Summer Cocktails

With July Fourth just around the corner, here are a few spirited offerings created by Jacquin’s, America’s oldest and Pennsylvania’s largest cordial producer, that will pair well with any July Fourth celebration.

Summertime Punch

A light and refreshing cocktail that packs the perfect punch to beat the summer heat.

2 oz. The Union Forge Vodka

1 ¾ oz. Watermelon Juice

2 Strawberries

¾ oz. Mint Syrup

½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice

Garnish: Mint Sprig & Strawberry

Instructions: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a glass and add mint sprig and strawberry garnish.

Union Forge Shandy

This PA favored mix is the closest you can get to sipping on sunshine.

2 oz. The Union Forge Vodka

2 oz. Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice

¼ oz. Lemon Juice

Dash of Grapefruit Bitters

Pilsner Beer

Garnish: Grapefruit Wedge

Instructions: Add the vodka, grapefruit juice, lemon juice and grapefruit bitters to a tall glass. Fill with ice and stir. Top with pilsner beer.

For the Ready-to-Drink Fan: Bartender’s Trading Co.

As the original ready-to-drink cocktail bottled for light imbibing, Bartender’s Trading Co. has a variety of flavors that are perfect for a day by the pool, fireworks show in the park or hanging out on the back porch.

  • Strong Island Iced Tea – The tried-and-true classic cocktail mixed with various spirits is topped with caramel citrus notes created from a secret (and delicious) flavor blend.

  • I’m Coconuts Over You – This unapologetically laid-back mix pays tribute to next-level coconut, made with imported Caribbean rum and coconut liqueur to satisfy those summer cravings.
