Pittsburgh Spas Perfect for Rejuvenating

OSIRIS Wellness and Day Spa
OSIRIS Wellness and Day Spa

It all began with hot springs in Spa, Belgium where Roman soldiers would go to soothe their aching muscles. Now, it’s a culture we wouldn’t want to be without. Moving far beyond the hot springs, today’s spas bring us a myriad of delightful indulgences. From deep tissue massages to moisturizing facials to anti-aging regimens, spas offer benefits that benefit our health and well-being. And let’s face it, some spa treatments make us look better, and that’s always a good thing. These three Pittsburgh area spas provide an excellent place to escape the daily grind and indulge in a little me time.

Sewickley Spa
Sewickley Spa

Founded in 1998 by Dorothy Andreas, the Sewickley Spa prioritizes customer service. Following in the footsteps of Andreas whose commitment to women embracing their inner confidence and entrepreneurial spirit led her to enter the salon business and ultimately open the spa, current owner, Jonelle McMahan is equally committed. “We treasure the relationships we build with our customers, and the new clients and friends we welcome will become equally as precious,” said McMahan. “We remain dedicated to providing an extraordinary experience, and I feel privileged to be able to carry on the tradition.”

Located in the charming town of Sewickley, the Sewickley Spa has been voted “Best Day Spa” in the region numerous times. A luxury spa, the Sewickley Spa offers standard massages, body wraps and facials but also features several unique treatments on its spa menu. Facial treatments include a Hydra memory Facial, Active Pureness Facial and the Ultimately Indulgent Paraffin Two-Layer Facial. Body wraps on the menu include a Seaweed Botanical Wrap, Sea Salt Glo and a Paraffin Body Wrap. Numerous massages are available including a De-knotting Neck and Back Treatment to wipe away all those hours on the computer. Sewickley Spa is open 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The spa can also be booked for private parties outside of regular business hours.
