It's hard to believe that the holidays are nearly upon us, which means it’s time for the Ben Avon Holiday House Tour!
Sponsored by the Avon Club, a social and community service organization for women in the Avonworth area, the event will be held Saturday, Dec. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the tour. A Candlelight Tour will also be offered from 6-9 p.m.; tickets are $30 in advance, and $35 on the day of the tour.
This year's house tour will feature seven beautiful homes in the Ben Avon Borough. The homes represent a wide variety of architectural styles and designs, as well as diversity in age. Each is beautifully decorated to not only honor the historical features of the home, but also to demonstrate the unique style and taste of the homeowners.
The homeowners are happy to share their home journeys with visitors, including upgrades and changes made. Guests will be provided with a detailed history of the homes, and of the area in general as a way to look back into times past and to see how the newer homes have transitioned across time.
